Grunge guitar a la Neil Young off the top. Barrel house piano. Big and loose. I’d like to hear the vocals up in the mix more. From the lyrics I can hear, I’d say this is intelligent and original. I like the sloppy feel in the playing and production. It suits the style, makes the whole exercise seem fun and spontaneous. Based on this tune, I’d definitely want to hear the rest of the album. And I’d go see them live and take along my dancing shoes. Great big noisy ending. Love it!

Wow! Love this song. After the first few bars I didn’t want to stop listening, and when the piano chords came in-I was hooked. The lyrics are great and the melody goes so well with the music. I also really like all the instruments incorporated into it. Aaron’s voice is awesome too-reminds me of Dan Mangan.

This track makes me want to live in Vancouver again so I could see the live performance, preferably at the Railway Club. Aaron has obviously worked hard on the arrangement because it is near perfect, the fiddle, piano, drums, guitar, they just work so well together. I really feel like I’ve been transported to an old saloon somewhere. In my opinion the vocals could come out a bit stronger in the mix, because some of the lyrics get lost in the sea of great instruments. Otherwise this is a great track, and I wish Aaron all the success he deserves.
