Love Is All Joins Polyvinyl

Posted on 05 January 2010 by Brian

We are very proud to announce that Gothenburg, Sweden’s Love is All has officially signed with Polyvinyl Record Co. As announced today by Pitchfork, their upcoming full-length Two Thousand and Ten Injuries will be released world-wide on CD/LP March 23rd.

After releasing two critically acclaimed full lengths (Nine Times That Same Song, A Hundred Things Keep Me Up at Night) and several EPs, Love is All found themselves without a label. For the first time, no one expected them to do anything. When it came time to record a new album, the band decided to play only when they felt like it, with no pressure from an outside source.

The result is Two Thousand and Ten Injuries – an eclectic collection of pop gems, anchored by New Wave and punk rock rhythms that don’t ever let up. Accompanied by soundman and co-producer Wyatt Cusick (ex-member of The Aislers Set and Trackstar), Love is All recorded the album using only an old 24-track analog tape machine.

Two Thousand and Ten Injuries will be available on CD and limited edition deluxe black or white 180-gram vinyl (white LPs available exclusively through Polyvinyl). All pre-orders also come with sticker and button.

Cale Parks To Swift Mars

CALE PARKS

To Swift Mars

(Release Date: 08/04/09)

After releasing his second full-length album Sparklace in fall 2008, Cale Parks, influential and renowned drummer for Aloha and White Williams, is back with a new 6 track EP titled To Swift Mars. With this release, Parks takes his songwriting to another level with immediate, concise pop structures that weave together electronic elements with full-bodied percussion and influences ranging from the overlapping arpeggios of Philip Glass to the post-prog pop of early Peter Gabriel. Recorded at Inner Ear studios by fellow Aloha member T.J. Lipple and mixed by Brian Jacobs of Apes and Androids, To Swift Mars highlights the solidarity of Parks’ creative songwriting process and breaks the usual assumptions of what a percussionist’s solo project might sound like.
