Bachelorette My Electric Family

BACHELORETTE

My Electric Family

Label: Drag City

(Release Date: 05/26/09)

From the Drag City website, an interesting (though accurate) description of Bachelorette’s latest album

Bachelorette’s My Electric Family, which in itself is a study in contrasts psych-folk scored with electronic accents and produced with an immaculate sheen, songs about mechanical processes sung with a depth of emotion and an overwhelming cascade of human melody. The end product is a veritable parade of alternate-universe singles-chart hits (well, there are a couple of b-sides in there as well), that, like all good hits, mass virally in your brain, making you unable (and unwilling) to think of anything else.
