Black Moth Super Rainbow – Contest & Listening Parties

In conjunction with BMSR’s upcoming release of their newest album “Eating Us”, the band has announced, among other fun happenings, the Hairy Artwork Contest and Listening Parties.

Hairy Artwork Contest – the band has created 1600 copies of their newest release which will be sold in 10 different retail stores, and which will be displayed on one-of-a-kind in-store display stands. Each CD has a download card that immediately triggers an mp3 download and entry into the Hairy CD contest. Prizewinners will be announced in late June and prizes will be; 1st) A Hairy stand plus a BMSR test pressing 2nd) The available back catalog from Graveface Records 3rd) A signed copy of “Eating Us”.

Canadian fans need not worry…you may also purchase CD’s online through www.graveface.com

Listening Parties – have been organized across the U.S. Each listening party will be hosted by a local radio station.

Pittsburgh’s psych-electro experimental synth-pop group Black Mouth Super Rainbow are about to release their latest project, titled Eating Us on May 26, 2009. The members of this elusive quintet include Tobacco (Vox), Power Pill Fist (bass and atari), Father Hummingbird (rhodes and monosynth), The Seven Fields Of Aphelion (monosynth) and Iffernaut (drums).

Recorded at Tarbox Road Studios and produced by Dave Fridmann, Eating Us is the band’s first fully hi-fi album and is the first time the band has recorded in a modern recording studio.
