I listened to this interview today which was passed on to me by Brian Thompson from Thorny Bleeder Records. Brian interviewed Jonny Hetherington from Art of Dying, who is also partnered with him and bandmate Greg Bradley to form their independent record label and artist services division of Thorny Bleeder Records.

During the interview there is a lot of discussion surrounding Art of Dying, as well as the state of the record industry today along with loads of discussion on DIY topics and some great advice for artists surrounding perseverance, social media etc. Great listen with great perspective from some industry veterans.

When we last connected with Armstrong B.C.’s Cold Driven back in January, we learned they were writing their new album which was co-written with Dallas & Danny of Default and Johnny from Art of Dying. This upcoming week, they will be performing at the Opera House in Toronto, in the company of other esteemed bands; Youandie, The Manhatten Project, Travis Caine, Lost & Found, Scotti Styles, Kill Whitey and Patrick Carneiro.

One band will be lucky enough to get a songwriting session with Joel Kazmi ( who has worked with Tea Party, NSnync, The Fray, David Usher, Sloan, Rush etc)

Free studio time will also be give away to The Chalet
