Hamilton-based “Young Rival” who have taken matters into their own hands, presented us with their self-titled, self-released EP in late 2008. With an upcoming Canadian tour scheduled set to test the songs on their fans, success is inevitable. Known for their excellent and, from time to time, surprising stage show, Young Rival actually recorded this EP in a high-ceiling room with microphones scattered throughout to capture their live energy and big sound.
The lead off single “Your Island” featured itself as high as #2 on CBC Radio 3′s weekly countdown, and the video for that song also saw light rotation on Canada’s MuchMusic.
