Raised on Indie is a website which is very dedicated to sharing great quality music from independant artists throughout Canada and Internationally. We are always looking for passionate writers to join our team, and recently added a podcast titled Capital Rock City, which focuses on talent from Vancouver and Victoria BC.  If you operate or know of a great podcast which showcases talent from any city in Canada please let us know at our contact page, as we would be more than happy to add to syndication on Raised on Indie. There are currently two members of our staff,  LanaB (Calgary, Alberta) and Brian Morris (Vancouver, BC).

Brian Morris

Brian has always been very passionate about music. He enjoys discovering new music and similiar to Lana has a very wide range of musical taste. Brian created Raised on Indie in 2oo6, and after a few brief hiatus’es over the years is back with more of a passion than ever to share great new music with music lovers across the world.  Don’t let the suit in the picture twist your impression of him, he assures you that he dresses much more casual 99% of the time (though is proven to not have much of a fashion sense). Brian welcomes any and all feedback on the site and content, including telling him that the site sucks because it isn’t featuring your favorite band  <insert artist here>.

Lana B

Music was introduced in many formats to Lana at a very young age, and as a result she has a vast range of musical tastes spanning Mozart through to Metallica.  She is a huge advocate for up & coming, little known and well known indie artists, as well as any artist or band that has maintained the passion and integrity that got them involved in the music scene to begin with. Although she is a fan of music from most decades, she is often seen, distracted;  jotting newly heard lyrics down for future investigation. Very little in life excites her more than good music, and she looks forward to sharing with you.
