Melissa Endean
Genre: Singer-Songwriter/Acoustic-Folk
Burnaby, BC
Sample Tracks: Live @ Studio 40 CBC Radio
Melissa Endean is a singer-songwriter who was born in the Okanagan Valley, and is currently calling Burnaby, BC home. Melissa’s songwriting abilities are very well developed, conveying deep and emotional messages and shares those very special moments in one’s life as they experience love, loss, tragedy and joy. Vocally Melissa is quite diverse, drawing comparisons to a mellower Sarah McLachlan track, and on some tracks has some vocal resemblance to Jewel, while others Melissa pulls off a strong country vocal performance. Melissa plays guitar and sings, while sharing the stage with her band, which in the Live at Studio 40 CBC Radio Session were Kendel Carson on fiddle, Debra-Jean Creelman singing background vocals, Adam Dobres playing guitar, and Simon Kendall playing the organ, piano, bass, and accordion. Melissa will be releasing her album Authentic later this year. Watch for Melissa Endean in the future, musically her band has excellent timing and plays very good arrangements, and vocally Melissa is very strong.
I am very happy to have Melissa sharing her experiences and wisdom in the monthly From the Artists Perspective feature.
